Bad Weather Arrangement

Please stay tuned to any special arrangements on bad weather which will be announced through this website, Instagram and Facebook.

Before the event

If at 7:00a.m. on the event day, Tropical Cyclone Signal No. 8 or Black Rainstorm Warning or above is hoisted, the event will be cancelled. If the event is cancelled due to the above mentioned signals, there will be no rescheduling of the event.

During the event

If Signal No.8 or Black Rainstorm Warning or above is hoisted during the event, participants are advised to stay at a safe place until the weather and traffic conditions have improved.

Please be reminded to check the weather forecast prior to coming to the event.

Can I come and join the workshops and lab visits if I am NOT registered by school?

STEAM Day only opens to individual visitors on Sat, 24 Jan 2026. Due to the limited availability of workshops and lab visit, for individual visitors participating in this event, you are welcome to join following activities :
- Interactive STEAM Game Booths / Project Demonstrations
- DIY Corners
- Robot Demonstration & Display from University Student Teams
- STEAM Competition Experience

Can I have free parking at HKUST as an individual visitor?

Due to limited parking space of HKUST, we cannot offer free parking for individual visitors. Visitors are encouraged to come to HKUST via public transport.
